Ahead of the third Kochi Public Transport Day (KPTD), CPPR will host the volunteers for a meet-up at its Kochi office at 2.30 pm on March 17, 2018. The meet-up is aimed at building a community of volunteers, who will help promote the cause and act as a support system to implement awareness programmes, both offline and online.

KPTD, launched on January 27 of 2018, has many activities charted across the year to encourage the residents of Kochi to use public transport. The scale and scope of the campaign requires volunteers, who can contribute to research work, awareness programmes and digital media campaigns.

The meet-up includes a formal induction programme, mentoring session by professionals and initiation into the future activities of the campaign. Volunteers will have vast networking opportunities with the who’s who (bureaucrats, government officers, elected representatives, entrepreneurs) of Kochi. Active volunteers will be awarded a certificate of acknowledgment signed by the Mayor, Ernakulam MLA and Chairperson of CPPR. If you represent or would like to represent an institution, the institution will be recognised as a volunteer partner on our website and communications.

If you have not already signed up as a volunteer, the meet-up is your chance to do so and work towards a social cause. KPTD will give you a fantastic opportunity to learn, work and have fun. We encourage everybody to join in, regardless of age, educational background and working status. Let’s meet up over tea (or coffee, your choice) on March 17th and do our part for Kochi.
