Kochi Public Transport Day initiative become part of the Fort Kochi Visioning Workshop organized by WRI India in collaboration with Kochi Municipal Corporation and Cochin Smart Mission Limited . The objective of the workshop was to develop a framework for the inclusive development of Fort Kochi. KPTD was involved in this as a part of stakeholder consultation programme and the public needs and concerns raised during the session were analyzed. The lack of night time public transportation, condition of boat services and need for integrating ro-ro service were some of the major issues found in the SWOT analysis of the development projects in the Fort Kochi area.
